Why Aerofi

With India’s growing market and ambitions, a 2% contribution to global aerospace market seems too small.
hardly any international TC or STC, TSOed products, risk sharing partnerships, Aerospace Standards releases.
Limited eco-system for even domestic programmes.

Hardly any aircraft offerings to the global aviation/ aerospace demands(except ALH in a very limited way).
Heavily skewed “consumption: contribution ratio” of the global aerospace produce.
Absence of aircraft programmes outside the government sector(Except NM5).

    To complement the existing Indian aerospace structure that has genuine constraints:
    - Pace constraint of Government Sector; and
    - “high-risk-long gestation-low return” aversion constraint of Private Sector.
    By using an alternative structure with pace and flexibility of a private enterprise ;and high risk product development appetite through a collective and shared-risk system.

Current Indian programmes such as ALH, LCA, Sukhoi, MMRCA etc, will continue to buy systems, modules, components, raw materials etc from specialized aerospace companies of the world, which constitute nearly 50% of the programme cost;

Aerofi to attempt to close the lag India has, in terms of products & technology ,by focusing exclusively on product development.

Aerofi aims to create a fulcrum, a pivot & a focal point with roles for all:
- Indian Aerospace Companies.
- Individuals(academia,scientists,experts,users).
- Friends of India(companies,groups,formations and individuals).

Who believe in accelerated development of aerospace products using Indian platform.
